備前焼窯元 小西陶古

備前焼窯元 小西陶古は、赤松による伝統の焼成を守っています。
量より質に重点をおき、主に花器、茶道具、置物（細工物）、食器などを制作しています。
初代陶古が生み出し、 先代の大窯を利用した目のさめるような桟切（サンギリ）焼には特に自信をもち、独特な味を今も受け継いでいます。
土を吟味し、備前本来の味わいをもった陶古の作品をぜひご鑑賞、ご愛顧下さいますようお願い申し上げます。

We have been making items such as flower vases, tea utensils, ornaments(handicraft), tableware and others, putting our whole heart in the work. The method used always preserves the traditional way of firing, using red pine wood with special emphasis on the importance to the quality more than the amount. Therefore, we retain the traditional and unique taste of Bizen. Particularly we have confidence in the vivid type of pottery called Sang-giri made in our climbing kiln(Noborigama).
Bizen ware depends on the soil used . This soil is very important, so we select it very carefully, as we are concerned with the quality of the product. We sincerely hope that you appreciate Toko's works that preserve the natural taste of Bizen pottery.
